6 months

Aislyn is 6 months old today!!  My how time flies.  I cant believe how fast little bunny is growing.  Im so excited to watch her grow and reach her milestones...sitting up on her own, enjoying foods like carrots, peas and squash, playing more, laughing out loud...all of it so amazing.  Yet with each new milestone a tiny bit of sadness seeps in as I watch bits and pieces of her babyhood fall away.  I want to hold on to every last cuddle, every last coo, every last afternoon of rocking her in my arms and feeling her tiny hand reach to touch my face.  

Aislyn my dear you are such a beautiful, sweet, content and patient little baby.  Your brother and sister adore you and are enjoying you more and more as you engage them with your playfulness.  You bring calm to our sometimes chaotic home.  You bring joy to those that gaze upon your sweet smile.  You are such a blessing.

School Fundraiser Fun

Tonight was Camryn's school fundraiser.  The kids had the BEST time playing games, visiting with friends and hanging out together.  Aislyn loved watching all the action.  What a great evening!

I wasnt quite close enough to hear what they were saying.  They were standing in line waiting to jump in the inflatable castle and this little boy kept tugging at her hair and making faces when she would turn around.  I asked her who he was and she said she didnt know, hes not in her class.  Boys can be so weird...

Last Weekend

I never got to post about last weekend because we were sooooooo busy!

It was my birthday, Aidan had a birthday party to go to and Cami performed in a gymnastics demonstration at La Centerra...oh!  and how could I forget, my sister Nicole was at La Centerra dressed as Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz for Katy Magazine!  BONUS My cousin Brittany was Glenda the Good Witch!  Check them out!

Holy Baptism

Aislyn,  a prayer for you on the day of your baptism:

O God, our heavenly Father, grant that as you grow in years, may you also grow in grace and in the knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ, and that by the restraining and renewing influence of the Holy Spirit you may always be a true child of God, serving Him faithfully all your days.

Our dearest family and friends came together today as we vowed to love, care for and counsel you as we lead you into a life of faith.

Celebrating with you today were: Mommy, Daddy, Camryn, Aidan, Ashley Noble, Jennifer, Mike and Addison Porter, Grammy, Popa, Nicole, Todd, Grumpy, Nihar, Deepali, and Kartik Shah, and Chris, Rebecca, Cooper and Bailey Goodwin.

5 months

Yesterday, Aislyn turned 5 months.  She is moving right along!  She loves to play, smile, babble and coo.  She also, thankfully, still loves to sleep!  She has the sweetest little personality.  She does this thing when shes really happy...kinda like a laugh but silent.  She opens her mouth and squints her eyes and kicks in delight...but no sound comes out.  She'll figure out the laughing thing soon enough.  Every now and then a squeal will escape and once but only once I got an actual "uh, huh, huh!"  Shes very observant.  She loves to watch her brother and sister play.  She gets so excited, you can just tell that shes eager to be a part of it.  Happy 5 months Aisy!!

3 Years Old

Today is Aidan's third birthday!!  We've had such a busy day.  Aidan celebrated with his school friends this morning.  At his school when someone has a birthday the birthday child brings a poster to school with pictures from infant to present age and they share it with the class.  Aidan loved showing all of his pictures.  I think he really enjoyed having everyone's attention on him for his special day.  After the poster he shared some Transformer and Batman cupcakes with his friends and the class sang Happy Birthday.  After school we sat in the carpool line at Cami's school since she had early dismissal.  He ate his lunch from his Spiderman lunchbox and went on and on about being THREE and being a BIG BOY...how hes going to play soccer and wear big boy underpants and always listen to his teachers and mommy and daddy (all his idea of what being a big boy means).  

Later, after picking Camryn up, we headed to see the pediatrician for Aidan's yearly well check. He was excited about being measured and weighed, but when the nurse took us to the exam room he stopped in the doorway and said "I dont want to do this part!" and turned to walk out of the office!  I assured him that there would be no shots and he agreed to go into the exam room.  Everything went well and he is perfect as perfect can be!  50th percentile for height and weight, healthy, smart and handsome =)

After the doctor, we did some errands and then all went out to dinner at Rainforest Cafe.  He had such a great time and lit up like a firecracker when they brought out the volcano cake with sparklers and a loud crowd of waitstaff singing Happy Birthday!  I have never seen a child so proud to be three.  Hes been glowing all day long...and the celebrations have only just begun!

4 Months Old

Today was Aislyn's 4 month well check.  She doing beautifully and growing right on track.  We should be able to start some rice cereal this month.  She is such a smiley baby!  She has discovered her hands and constantly has them in her mouth.  She loves being in my lap and we spend our mornings cuddling, chatting and playing with her toys.  Shes growing so fast!  Check out how she compares to Camryn and Aidan at the same age, right in the middle.

Addison Julieann

The excitement all started Friday morning when I got word that Jenn was on her way to the hospital to have her 1st baby.  Unfortunately, though in active labor, they sent her home because she hadnt progressed enough.  We stayed in contact all day and then finally at about 11pm she and Mike headed back to the hospital.  Her labor progressed perfectly.  I joined her mom and dad at the hospital around 3am and Addison was born shortly after 5 am.  Jenn is doing well and baby Addison is absolutely perfect!  She is stunningly gorgeous.  Perfect skin, Jenn's nose, Mikes eyes (imo) and the cutest little dimples.  She is sweet and serene, going easy on her new mommy and daddy.  Congratulations Jenn and Mike!  Im so excited that after all of these years of incredible friendship, we can raise our baby girls together!
